Sure looks as if that camper has been modified and had some type of damage done to it. Doesn't look new either!! My 2009 Eagle Cap (built in Oct 08) is in much better condition than that supposed new camper.
OP also started the "Why are campers so poorly built" thread. I am throwing in the BS flag on this one!.
Yeah, right Sherlock. You want me to provide a bill of sale?
I came here looking for advice on what to do about this problem, and people like you who really don't have anything to offer, think it's all BS. Seriously, if you can't offer help, it's best to remain silent. Like Mark Twain once said: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt"
FYI, this is a brand new, unused camper. However, it is a 2010 model that's been on the lot for a while. However, this problem was not apparent when I bought it mid September, but only after using it for 3 weeks.
As an addendum: The manufacturer has denied the warranty claim. However, the dealer has accepted that this is a defect of some sort and will fix the problem at their cost. I will keep you guys posted on the progress, but am now tempted to reveal the manufacturer's name since I believe that such a problem should not be apparent on a never before used camper, even if it's been on the lot for almost 3 years.
