emergency brake cable
i have a set of frame mount tie downs for my f 150 but i need to undo the e brake to put the d side one on.it comes out the floor and is split with a clip that continues on to the rear.can anyone tell...

If the F150 E brake is similar to the F250 you may need to disconnect the cables at the rear axles and work your way forward to get enough slack into the main cable from the cab.
I had to replace a frozen (rusted) cable on the drivers side of my F250 and it was a real challenge disconnecting it from the equalizer.
Started at the rear axle, had to remove the cable from the holder, then disconnect the end from the e brake lever on the axle.
Then had to carefully get the other end eased out of the holder on the frame.
Since you are not dealing with a rusted cable, disconnecting at the e brake lever on the axle may allow enough slack to disconnect the cables from the equalizer (this is the place all three cables join together)..
