This is not the case for me. My breakaway switch is not wired around the disconnect switch, but I don't see this as a safety issue. I have an electric jack. If my disconnect switch is not turned ON, I'm not going to be able to operate the electric jack and I'm not going anywhere.
Not the case for me, either. I have the breakaway system powered by it's own SLA battery. If the trailer's batteries go dead or can't offer power, the E brake system is still operational.
