Hi,Does anyone have one of these? And if so what is your impression of this fan versus regular AC table top fans? I read great reviews about this product and how powerful it was so I got one. I tried it out today and I am seriously underwhelmed to the point that I wonder if there is something wrong with it. On high speed the fan delivers a very light air flow. If I stick my hand by it is even slightly hard to feel. I ran it on high in my camper on the nightstand right by the bed and if I lay on the opposite side of the queen size bed I could not feel the air flow. My cheap $9 table 8 inch table top fan on the low setting was fairly comparable (running on a cheap plug in converter in my trailer--only can get it on the low setting like this). Is there maybe something wrong with it? The blades move fast but don't seem to produce much air flow. Am I expecting too much out of a 12 volt fan? I could run a small conventional fan off the 12 volt outlet using a converter. I just don't see why that would necessarily blow more air than this.

I was very surprised at the amount of airflow and how long the battery could keep it going. I'm pleased with the product. Perhaps you have low voltage to the fan if it is not working well.-Added on edit-No, it does not perform as well as a 120 Volt fan, but if all you have is 12 Volts, it is a miracle.

I guess my next question would be what the advantage to this fan would be over using a regular table round table top fan with a converter....a cheap converter is cheaper than this fan. Are there pros and cons? Will a normal fan with a converter run my battery down?

Is it possible that the polarity on the fan is reversed and it is blowing backwards?

I think at first I was looking for the air movement of a 120v Fan but I think a 120v with and inverter would pull much more current.

We use the 10-inch O-2-COOL portable fan which works on 120VAC with xfmr-12VDC-D CELL batteries...

Runs very quiet - runs a long time on internal D-CELLS. No complaints here on this one..

We also use it sit behind our low profile OIL-FILLED Electric heater when we want to move more air around the room when at an electric site...

No way to answer that without more information. However, you can easily figure it out yourself:

- Find the current rating for your 120 volt "normal fan".
- Multiply this number by 10. This is how much that fan will draw from your inverter.
- Add 10 to 20% for inverter losses. Use 20% if you get a cheap inverter.
- Now you know how much power your inverter/fan combination will draw from your battery.
- Divide this number into 1/2 the amp hr. rating of your battery.
- This is how many hours your fan can run before your battery will drop from full to 50% charge.

Got one, love it. No inverter (not converter) to mess with. Low energy consumption, quiet, and moves plenty of air. It is the same fan as in the Fantastic Vent fan that is so popular.

Been using ours for a couple of years. Very quiet. Like the idea of 12 volt operation. After purchasing several so called quiet fans. This one does run quiet. Got mine off EBAY for less than $50. Took awhile to find the deal. But was worth it.

I will say this--in my short comparison I did notice one critical difference between this fan and the smaller one. While the smaller fan was able to deliver more concentrated airflow at a higher velocity (even on its lowest setting), it is a smaller fan.

The endless breeze fan is much larger so while it is not moving the air as fast, it is moving a larger volume of air. Not sure how that affects the fan's ability to keep you cool.

My primary intent for the fan is to use it after 9pm when I need to shut off my generator and have it sitting next to my bed blowing directly on me while I sleep.
