I also started with Energy Suspension stops and switched to StableLoads. Although they gave better unloaded ride on rough roads (no overload slapping), they compressed too much before getting the full benefit of my overload spring. Since I have a F250, it sits 2" lower in the rear than the F350. It may still be an option for those that have "rear high" trucks when unloaded, but mine is almost level.
I looked at the taller ES stops, but felt they were too narrow and would flop over as the overload spring engaged. Your photo validates my concern - These should only be used in vertical application with no side forces. They may be useful as axle bump stop replacements.
