Not disagreeing. Just adding on to be thoughts.
Any good normally aspirated gas motor for towing better have a liter capacity that starts with a number greater than 6. 7 or 8 is even better.
And, as always, get both.
My 6.0 Suburban is very carefully eyeing a Whipple supercharger. You know, for those just in case moments. I have no doubt it will last longer than I want to own it.
