aspire to be "elite"- talking down to others is how they keep their hopes up.

The term "entry level" is only pejoratively used by folks anxious to justify the w-a-a-a-y too much money they paid for what in many cases only amounts to lipstick on the same pig. You're just as warm, fed, mobile, and dry as they are...and you've got a lot less invested to boot!
Pay no attention to them- it's really all just jealousy. They're jealous of the truly "elite" and at the same time jealous of those like you that have no such pretensions and are the happier for it.
