This maybe not news to a lot of people ,but the new English Caravan maker Eterniti has found its US made Slideout has water leaks.
Where does it say US made? Read the news release which states:
It is also worth noting that some of the claims on the sites are not true or factual and that the users stating these claims are not even Eterniti customers.
We have had two faults within the first built caravans which I am very pleased to confirm have now since been fully rectified which I feel is an achievement
to have done this so quickly.
We were having water ingress issues with the slide and this was addressed by bringing our experts over from the states. The issue was the slide roof itself – being made from smooth shiny GRP it was not allowing enough friction for the seals to ‘sweep’ and clear water away. This was immediately changed to the same TPO material that is on the caravan roof and this instantly cured the problem.
We also had a couple of caravans that had ingress through one front window because the rubber seal was not tight to the Perspex due to the front panel not being 100% correct in its fit, this as many of you will know already being the cause for delays in production. This too has now been rectified.
Looks like the issue with the slide was the materials used, not the design. I don't see where it says who designed the slide. It does state that experts from the US were brought in to fix it.
Second paragraph states issues with water ingress through the front window - a manufacturing/assembly issue.
