Excellent customer service from Torklift

I just got off the phone with Torklift and after explaining my problem and sending the following pictures, they immediately shipped me replacements, free of charge (well, I paid the shipping-but still!)

I happened to be doing some work on the battery issue (see the other post) when I noticed that the stabil loads had nearly disintegrated.
These are only about 3 years old.

They were extremely helpful and efficient at Torklift and I wanted to pass that on.

  • You just experienced the typical Torklift customer service.....excellent all the time.
  • If that's true then Torklift is guilty of some serious false advertising.

The whole point of StableLoads is to engage the overload springs sooner. They're designed to be engaged 100% of the time under load.

On mine when the load is such that the overloads "just contact," (e.g. with just the camper and no trailer) I get a harsh slap every time I hit a bump that shoots right up my spine.
  • I feel the forklift bump stops are just that. There are meant to contact the spring when the load bounces. I don't believe that are meant to ride on the spring a 100 percent of the time. Air bags would help the ride and life of the bump stops. I load the truck and then put enough air in the air bags to raise the load just enough to just contact the spring. I get a great ride and bumps still do the job the are designed to do. You should consider a set of air bags in my opinion. Good luck with your new bump stops, I'm glad that Torklift took care of you needs.
  • Great to hear about good support.

I wonder why they wore and why so quick? Did they offer any explanation?

In your photo, is your TC loaded?
