We have XM Satellite in the Truck using the External antenna mounted on the front edge of the Truck hood. Works fine 90% of the time. Most signal fade seems to occur in the trees when traveling north. Bu this is not very often. We move the XM into the Camper when parked. Placing an external antenna in the Drivers side window of cab over. Sometimes we are not facing the correct direction for satellite reception...then I will either dangle the antenna out the window or in a few extreme cases I have placed the antenna on the Camper roof for the night.
I too am a dedicated Radio Classics listener....Ironically in the truck while traveling I stay alert by listening to stories. In the Camper at night concentrating on Old Time Radio stories helps me go to sleep. The concentration helps dramatically in covering my tinnitus. I have been a dedicated XM Old Time Radio Classics listener since XM radio became available.
