Drittal brings up a good point; and no, I haven't weighed my front axle with the trailer hooked up. And it certainly seems logical that once the 5er is hooked up to the truck that there will be 'some' extra weight on the front axle. I guess I'll need to do that before I put this plan into action.
Some folks have suggested putting the bike on the back of the 5er. I've thought of that, but many have said the leverage of that weight so far back from the wheels will stress the floor I-beams. Our trailer is a light-weight model and so, I'd guess the floor I-beams are as small as possible. I certainly do not want to damage the trailer just to haul a motorcycle. Does anyone have experience with hauling extra weight on the back of their trailer. Any pros or cons to that. Thanks.
