I am thinking of getting an ezpass. Any issues with truck camper overhang. Did you mount yours near the top of windshield as per the instructions or near the botton for less interference from overhang...

Crew cab truck with our Eagle Cap. EZ Pass mounted up high behind the mirror. It has worked great EXCEPT for on one occasion.
and it was on the NYS Thruway (seems like a recurring theme on this thread)
On that trip it registered where we entered the Thruway in Catskill. Apparently it did not register where we exited in Albany at I-787.
A few weeks later we get a letter in the mail charging us for traveling the entire length of the Thruway. After several letters from me and several phone calls I talk to a person who verifies that they have a picture of the back of our truck/TC exiting at Albany.
So what was their problem? Bureaucracy. It took me so long to settle this that while they finally settled on the correct toll amount they still dinged me for a $25 late charge that I was unwilling to fight and paid it to end the whole mess.
So do make sure you see "EZ Pass OK" before leaving the toll booth area ESPECIALLY on the NYS Thruway.
