Nice report Maury. Sounds almost exactly how I set up my 2018 HDPP (except I went with a Husky Centerline TS hitch) and your results are the same. We are towing very similar size and weight trailers too.
As Vern said, scale your truck empty, unhooked, and again loaded and hooked up. Need to see what those axle weights are, but based on my experience you will be fine. I put a lot more in my truck (passengers/cargo) than you do and I'm still under all limits for the platform.
I too find it funny how the old school dudes on here just can't wrap their heads around how capable these HDPP 1/2 ton truck are. I'm old (55) but into tech and motorized toys so recognize that things have changed a lot in the last 10 years. You don't HAVE to have a 3/4 ton (or more!) as many insist these days. Get the right tool for the job, period.
