The bottom line is, there is a value presented by the 1/2 ton market for both towing and as a daily driver that a HD truck can't match, even at a similar build and price, and I wanted to share my experiences with towing a longer and heavier trailer with a properly equipped 1/2 ton.
I took the rig out twice already, and it is no fluke, the truck does tows the trailer very stable, or else I would be scared as heck...I'm not!!
Keep in mind, I'm still getting use to driving this long wide, and bulky thing called a truck, and a long and heavy trailer attached just means more practice, and a stable truck to tow it.
I wanted to get my last and best truck the first time.
The point of the post wasn't to compare and contrast the HDPP against any HD trucks, or it's value relating to when equally equipped, but that a person can keep the advantages of having the 1/2 ton truck they want, and tow a heavier and longer trailer.
My post only applies to those that recognize the advantages and value of having a capable 1/2 ton for towing heavy, and the added benefit of a more superior and more livable vehicle when not towing.
