There is plenty of rust in Vermont. My 2007 Sierra needs rocker panels, cab corners, and door bottoms. The 07 Tundra's around here seem less rusty than my GMC.
My neighbor bought a brand new f150 in 2009. By the end of 2013 the cab corners were rusted through. He brought it back to Ford and they told him to pound sand.
I'm not sure how the aluminum will hold up over time. I'd like to believe it will be more reliable in the long run, but I've seen plenty of oxidized aluminum around here. I can't help but wonder how paint will stick to it down the road.
