So far he has ignored us with that question or he doesn't understand how serious it is to over load Fords 9.75" semi float rear axle with just one small bearing at the end of the axle...... or any semi float rear axle.
Ford rates the '13 9.75" axle at 3850/4050/4800 lbs depending on springs/tires and wheel selections. I've yet to find the axle mfg rated capacity for the semi floater. Exceeding that number isn't a wise choice in the long run.
3850/2wd is the 8.8 the other two are the 9.75 all of which use the same bearing and seal. I feel it is as strong as the heavy duty version. I did my home work. I have had my rear wheel pass me going down the highway on my old 79 f150 4wd with 36 inch mud tires of which I overloaded regularly.
