F150 Ecoboost Reliability
A friend is looking at a 2013 F150 Ecoboost and I'm wondering how these are doing reliability wise. What was the first year for the Ecoboost?

I own one of the original units rolling off the line. I bought it in March 2011.
56K miles on the odo without a single issue, 22K of that towing heavy. It has never been back to the shop for anything other than trans flush and tire rotation. I change my own oil which is a pita on this truck.
I'm currently getting 20.5 mpg driving to work and back, mostly highway with a few miles of city. Towing my FW in my sig will earn me 8-12 mpg depending on conditions.
Engine braking? No such thing with this engine. It tries, I'll give it that.
Don, let's see your truck haul my FW through the mountains, or even on the flats. Yea, that's what I thought!
I can say this IS the best truck I have ever owned but I have never owned a 1 ton diesel dually so what do I know.
