I'm glad everything worked out for you.
I think one would be nuts to ignore any maintenance item. Unfortunately TSBs aren't advertised. If you do your own maintenance you have to search for them. Even if you have your vehicle maintained at a dealer, they won't tell you about a TSB unless you're having the problem they fix.
