- TargaExplorerHe might just be trying to start an argument but American made is very noteworthy to me and I am sure it is to others as well. I am not a Ford guy, but kudos to them.
- Passin_ThruExplorerWho cares! you're only starting an argument. Plese end this thread.

Yes the grass is always greener around the Septic Tank.:B - parkersdadExplorerI've had all three and I will take Ram at this time. In my opinion they all go through phases being the best and right now is Rams turn.

Also included for each truck is its score from the 2014 Kogod Made in America Auto Index, which looks not only at parts and assembly information but also at such factors as where a model's research and development took place, where a carmaker made capital investments and where the profits from the vehicle go. The Kogod index is scored on a 100-point scale
So the F150, Honda Ridgeline and Toyota Tundra all tie for 75% domestic content. The Tundra's Kogod index rating is 78.5%, including where the profits from the vehicle go.
The Ram is only 68% domestic content and 63% Kogod index.
The Chevy/GMC is only 40% (FORTY!!!) domestic content and has a slightly higher than Ram (and LOWER than Tundra) Kogod index of 70%.
Really throws a wrench in the whole "Toyota is an import and all the revenue goes back to Japan" argument. - bobx2ExplorerDrove Fords as company work trucks for about 12 years. Three of them were brand new. 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, diesel and gas. The thing I liked most about them was they were company trucks. Other than that, really nothing about them that would make me ever want to actually spend money for one. Poor ride, poor fuel economy, extreme lack of power with the 5.4 gasser, very hard to start when cold diesel engines, ect. You guys can keep em.

- Turbo_Diesel_DuExplorerBack in early 90's swore off Fords and went to GM. Next went to Dodge. Now went back to a 2013 F150 EcoBoost and am satisfied so far. Good truck, strong and efficient. JMHO

I would never own a Ford... Never have never will...
That`s OK, some people learns things slower than others.....in time my friend, in time!
Soon it will just be Ford and Chrysler! - spoon059Explorer IITundra... still one of the most American made vehicles in the world. That list was annoying because it didn't give content breakdown. The Tundra has been at 75%+/- since 2007.
I love all the comments about "I would never buy (insert brand here) no matter what". Are you guys romantically linked to your trucks or something? I will never understand blind brand loyalty.
If Ford made a pickup that had 8000 lbs payload, could safely tow and stop a 40,000 lbs trailer, had an 8 foot bed and huge 2 row seating that got 22 mpg towing and fit in your garage all for $27,999 fully loaded... you still wouldn't buy it cause its a Ford? That is idiotic...
