I would always go with newer if I could afford it.
That being said, you may want to consider stepping up to a larger truck. In my research and experience RVing for the past 40 years, most RVers end up with 3 to 4 RVs. They start out small (pop up) get larger (23ft TT) and larger (30ft TT or MH) and then end up with what really works for them (35 to 45ft 5th wheel or MH).
In addition, I wouldn't buy the horse before I bought the cart...what if you buy too small of a horse for the cart you really want to buy.
Get the TT first or at least decide on what you are going to buy so you can get a truck that will handle it safely.
