I think it's funny how you guys that are posting going from diesel to gas all had old 7.3's and say the 6.2 is fine. I would hope it would be. LOL!! Go drive you a 6.7 Ford diesel and then say the same thing. HAHAHA!!!!
OP, the 6.2 will do the job just fine. The trucks now days all have enough power to get the job done. Heck you could tow 20,000# with the 6.2. People did it with a lot less power years ago, just took longer. Times are changing and so is the norm. When you can have a truck that will hold the speed limit 99% of the time in OD towing 20,000+# then anything that can't do it is considered not capable when in all reality it will be just fine. It's all going to have to be determined by you and the comfort level you want to achieve in your towing experience. If you don't mind your truck revving to higher RPM than normal then gas will do just fine. If you want to sit back and ride with the engine doing the job at a lower relaxing RPM then the diesel is for you. Only you are going to be able to make YOU happy.
