Diesels hold more value than gassers for a while, but at a point the value (actual price people are willing to pay) has more to do with condition and price...if I have $5500 to spend on a truck... Would I buy a rusty 96 PSD or an immaculate V10 Superduty...for the same money...my experience...I bought the 99 V10.
Thanks!

Nothing like an apples to Oranges comparison!:S
Like condition for like condition, the diesel will hold its value far better than a gas TV.
Why not compare a rust bucket gasser to a prestige diesel, not even close. Diesel will hold that value even with higher mileage!
I think the point you made is diesels do hold better value! $5,500 won't get much more than a rust bucket diesel, the engine is worth that much!
Russ that was the point. If you have a budget of $5500.00.. which I did have at the time. That was ALL I could spend on a TV. Diesels I could afford were either not a crew cab or worn out rust buckets. Found a 99 V10 for the same money that was not a bucket and bought it. A PSD in the same condition would have been 10 grand more.
So for me.. $5500.00 was the equalizer... the apple that I had to work with..
Sorry to offend or cause confusion.
Thanks!
