Since private use trucks are not subject to commercial DOT law, and will never be weighed, in effect, there is no limit.
LOL...good one....however I wouldn't look a "REAL" size and weight officer in the face and tell him a private use truck has no weight limits.
Any vehicle on the road come under some type of weight limits.
Granted its rare a truck pulling a rv would ever be stopped just to be weighed for a overload condition unless per my area troop commander, it looks severally overloaded......wondering all over the road and creating a safety hazard to other drivers on the road.... then the S10 truck pulling a 40' Grand Teton can be stopped and scaled for exceeding the vehicles axle/tire limits. ( his description not mine).
Looks like the OP thread about "can a one ton F350 SRW truck pull my 42' 18000 lb trailer has taken another turn in the same old same old weight opinions including mine,..... which is contact his state size and weight folks for their input on any trucks actual weight limits. That way it separates rv website myth and eliminates all the differing/wild opinions.
