F450 vs F350

How bad is the ride on the unloaded 450 when compared to the 350? How is it with the 5th attached?

Does the turning radius improvement make up for the comfort difference?

We're about two years away right now from getting the truck and the 5th wheels we're currently looking at are in the 16 to 18 range, which looks like DRW is a must.

    To bad they quit offering the wide track front axle option on the 350. Chris

    From what I hear the ride is very similar with a huge improvement in turning radius on the F450.

    Can't say that a turning radius is top of my list as it's not often it comes into play.

    350 and 450 are both 14k GVWR, it you believe you should not exceed that number the 350 will give more carrying capacity before hitting the magical number.

    I should be easily in DRW, SRW is questionable. Although the 2020 SRW published payload numbers are looking much better.

    I'm sure when Ram offers a wide track front end on their regular DRW trucks it'll be the next best thing since sliced bread.

    Those are cab and chassis and not regular DRW trucks

    Those are cab and chassis and not regular DRW trucks

    Getting back to the OP's question, we tow with a long bed CC DRW F350 and the turning radius has never been a problem. I've gotten to closed gates leaving military bases and had to pull a U-turn in what amounts to about three lanes.
