I even have a spare crank handle from a previous RV, but nope. The thermostat knob has about 1/32" clearance, thank goodness. Fortunately, even at age 67, I'm still tall enough to be able to reach the ceiling :-) I'll be putting a rain cover over the fan, so needing to close it won't be critical.
