Fantastic Fan Rain Sensor NG

Hi, I have had this FF with the thermostat and rain sensor for about 7 years, It worked great, I left it on all the time in summer even when when its parked in driveway . Now the it stays open in the rain so I just leave it closed. Anybody know if I can just replace the moisture sensor or does the whole unit have to be replaced, Ive gotten my moneys worth out of it so I cant complain, Thanks Lou

    My sensor went bad, I sent an email and they got one in the mail that day. Upon close examination of the old sensor it had several breaks in the foil circuit.

    Well. in such case - rain sensor is just metal plate.
    Cleaning it with contact cleaner can go long way.
    MAF cleaner is even better.

    When I first ordered the unit they were fantastic , but I needed a part ( I Forget what) a couple of years later and the sales rep was inpatient and rude ,I paid full price for any parts I needed. I still will call them at some point , maybe I just got a miserable person at that point. I just want to see if anyone else had the same problem as me , Thanks
