Farewell to my Outdoorsman

Out with the old, in with the new this morning.

Traded my 1500 Outdoorsman in on a 2500 Tradesman.

New truck is a crew cab with the 6'4 bed, 6.4L HEMI and automatic trans. Rear axle has the 4.10 gear ratio.

No more will I have to worry when I over pack for a long road trip, the new truck is rated to 3300 lbs payload, compared to the 1200 of the Outdoorsman.

Need some Sun to come out so I can grab a few more pictures.

300 miles to go for the break-in and then it's time to hitch up and go camping :)

  • Congratulations on the truck, I just got a 3500 with the 6.4 hemi Last week and with 800 miles so far I love it.
  • Wow, that is a giant step up in payload! Yup, load it full, dog can even bring a friend. :)

You better get those miles quickly, you are running out of camp time in northern Michigan.

  • You might have to turnaround and look behind you to make sure your current TT is even attached as it will undoubtedly feel like you are not towing anything, and when it's time to go bigger you could easily double your current load and still be good to go.
