Farthest tow..?

Mine also has been the "Disney Trip", from Connecticut to Disney World.

First leg is to Florence, South Carolina, about 720 miles and upwards of 15 hours driving depending on conditions.

That may seem a long time to cover that distance, but I usually will only drive for 1 1/2 hours before stopping for bathroom/coffee/stretching/resting.

Second leg is from Florence to Disney, about 470 miles and around 10 hours driving.

Amazing how using the "50 miles per hour" rule is pretty accurate for trip planning. I usually tow at 67 mph, and adding in fuel stops and rest stops, always seem to come out to around 50 miles per hour.... approximately!

My furthest so far has been from Long Island to Disney Orlando and back. I found that 10 hours a day is my limit provided traffic was flowing. Cant wait to point the nose to the west!

My uncle told me yesterday that he met a guy towing a restored 1971 travel trailer all over the USA for most of a year. The guy was from Canada. 1971.. That's an old trailer.

6 weeks and about 7800 miles on the odometer. Home to the Oregon coast and back with lots of stops along the way.

I towed a 1975 trailer from Victoria BC to North Bay, ON. Approximately 4200km

In 2014, took a 7,900+ mile trip from Richmond, VA to the Pacific ocean at Los Angeles. Dockweiler was the name of the campground. It was a jiggy jog trip out, and back.

VA, TN, AL, MS, LA, TX, NM, AZ, NV, CA, Back thru AZ, NM, TX, OK, KS, MO, IL, IN, MI, OH, WV, VA.

6 months, 8000 miles.
AZ, NM, CO, KS, MO, IL, IN, OH, PA, NY, VT, NH, ME, NH, VT, NY, PA, VA, WV, TN, KY, IL, MO, KS, OK, TX, NM, AZ

Georgia to Illinois for Thanksgiving each year. 12 hrs and 794 miles.

5200 miles in 3 weeks, longest contiuous was several trips to AZ, 1000 miles one way straight through.

We circumnavigated AZ for 58 days from IN. We towed 5500 miles and added another 3000 miles sightseeing. We towed in deserts, mountains, high winds, snow and of course fair weather most of the time.

We pulled our 25 footer through towns, National Parks and an endless number of obscure attractions, plus all the friends relatives in neighboring states.

The DW and I retired and three years ago we decided to travel before anymore self-destructive body part gave out. We have just short of 30,000 towing miles total but the AZ trip was our longest; even the dog was ready to come home. :)
