He didn't step down he went in for surgery on his shoulder and threw a clot and was on life support until his death 07/25/2017. Feel like an a$$ yet Troy?

Yes it is sad, regardless of where he is from.

According to auto guide.com he suffered a cerebral embolism after shoulder surgery which caused a stroke. Sad indeed.

The FCA board announced the move Saturday following Italian media reports that Marchionne's health had taken a turn for the worse due to complications arising from shoulder surgery. His condition has been called irreversible

A Detroit Free Press column stated Marchionne, a former heavy smoker, quit a year ago. Who knows the nature of his illness, but to be termed 'gravely ill' doesn't suggest a positive outcome. Sad any way one looks at it; the man planned to retire next year.
