Not much to ponder without hearing more about the cause of the issue.
"Moisture" in the scr comes from maybe 3 sources. Pre scr combustion gasses in a cold engine. DEF, or the byproduct of NOx breakdown is water again.
How that affects scr, I don't know.
Sounds like a big deal though.
