And that F150 doesn't have a DEF fill port right next door to the diesel fill port either just waiting for a spill to occur. I would most definitely have the MOPAR diesel protective cap.
An accidental spill? I've got a Ram CTD, and yes, the DEF port is next to the diesel fill port, but OMG, I can't imagine an accidental spill that would create an issue. Good grief..... just when you heard it all.
But, considering the source, Im not surprised.

If you "can't imagine an accidental spill" then why do you use the green plug?
Obviously enough concern has gone around that both ram and the aftermarket has produced a cap. Some here in this thread use a cap as well.
That is usually what happens with anything new and people don't understand how it works. People fear what they don't know and they usually think of the worst case scenario to justify their fear. Instead of taking the time to learn about it, they revert to things that give them "peace of mind". This is why there are still people out there that change their oil every 3k miles even though every vehicle and oil manufacturer says you can go much longer.
And of course in our capitalists society there will those out there who will capitalise on these people's fears to make a buck. Does this mean there is something wrong with the product? No, it just means there are enough people out there that would rather spend the extra money to have "peace of mind" than to actually learn about the product because to them that is the easier way out.
