America once held the monopoly with vehicle production with their people.
Dodge, Ford, GM, farm tractors etc started to fail because of cheap quality and then you people started getting smart and saw what superb workmanship the Japaneses have been making for years and started buying them.
I've always owned Dodge and Ford, still do for my company trucks but when the Europeans start sending over a tough truck I'm buying a few.
Let's face it USA you people got greedy and now your economy is in the dumps and there's no turning back now and you need others to take over the messes that you've made.
You think your economy isn't dependent on the U.S.? Not often I see a poster who has such dislike for America. Millions of American's gave their lives so that people like you can speak as you do.
No we don't depend on the US! Lol we're a self sufficient country that doesn't need to constantly start wars and kill people to get what we want and need!
For some reason Americans think their country is the biggest in the world and holds power, sad fact is that's a myth.
So Steve that lives just north of the USCanadian border how often do you come south into the US to take advantage of our MUCH lower prices???????
I see this attitude a lot when I am in Palm Springs fore the winter. Get's old hearing negative things about the US from people that DO benefit from this country.
I can se this will close soon.
I do enjoy the the poor economy of the states, I trade online and import to Canada.
I'm not in anyway bashing the states at all, I'm just seeing that this might be a wake up call.
The biggest industry of building vehicles that you guys had is lost, its good to see Europe bailing you guys out and financing things. - Engineer9860Explorer

Fiat is the best thing that happened to Chrysler since the takeover by Daimler back in 2000. As Far as I`m concerned right now Chrysler has the best cars out there.
I think GM is the one on the way out at this point!
Coming from the perspective of Australia, GM and Ford are both struggling globally. Sergio has done some good things with Jeep, that have increased sales here. I think he has a much more "Global" view of what is needed to make the now combined organisation grow. You now have the "Big Two" left. Yes I do see more production outside the US though. - bigdoggerExplorer IIWhen Chrysler goes under for the third time, will it fall to the Italian government to bail them out, or will the US have to step in again?

Chrysler's Jefferson North is the only car production plant still building vehicles in Detroit.
My 66 300 was built in the old Jefferson Ave plant.
A fellow C body owner! Beautiful Vert!
Really. There aren't a lot of us out there. What's yours?
Not trying to hijack the thread but a few more.
Since the thread is about to get locked anyways.....LOL, I am resto modding a 65 Polara. It should be out of the body shop this month so I can start putting it back together. - larry_barnhartExplorerI really like the folks from Canada but we get the ones that like to tell us what is wrong with the USA. I say GO back and enjoy the winter and see all the rag heads you let in.

Thanks Fiat for taking things over, keep in mind you can't polish S#@T.
Amen!
I think you will see:
Ram
Jeep
Fiat
Look at Chrapsler's sales in December - Ram and Jeep were the only things keeping them in the black.
Just a matter of time before Sergio cans Dodge and Chrysler and rebrands the 1 or 2 compelling cars they offer Fiats or even Alfas and be done with them completely.
My only hope is the next time Chrysler cries about money the US Gov't says no. We shouldn't bail them out every 10-15 years.
Fiat will not get rid of anything. you need to look at what is actually going on out there and stop trying to reel people in! And as far as I know there is only one U.S. automaker trying to help out Americas economy and trying to revitalize Detroit! Fiat is the best thing that happened to Chrysler since the takeover by Daimler back in 2000. As Far as I`m concerned right now Chrysler has the best cars out there.
I think GM is the one on the way out at this point! - BluhornExplorerIT, we know how you feel about Chrysler. Go take a pill. It really gets old after awhile. Go camping or something.
