FIRE FIRE, how many would let BURN?

just bought my travel trailer brand spanking new,and if it were to catch on fire tomorrow i would let that sucker burn to the ground and take the insurance money and buy another one.

i wouldnt risk my life trying to put it out unless one of my family members or pets were inside at the time.

If its fiberglass, its pretty much solidified petroleum, do you think you're going to extinguish it.

If the dinky hand held extingisher can't put it out in the 5 seconds that it lasts...focus on mitigation and let the insurance company worry about replacing it.
- Get everyone safe and notify any neighbors.
- Call 911
- Move the car away.
- If (big if) you can safely remove the propane tanks, do so.
- Move the tow vehicle away.
- Move adjacent RV's away.
- After that you can spray it with a hose while standing up wind but don't count it doing much.

If you are in a CG. I pretty sure the campers around you would be wanting the fire put out

Insurance is there for a reason. In a fire you had better be getting out rather than worrying about putting it out. Noxious fumes will kill you pretty quickly or damage your lungs faster than you think. Its nothing to mess with. I would let it burn too.

I would let it burn, if put out by FD the water and smoke damage would be
UN-repairable I would just be glad that no one got hurt.

I don't think I'd have much of a choice. These things are made out of styrofoam, paper and a little dry wood.
It would go up like a road flare.

These burn so rapidly, I don't think you have any choice BUT to let it burn. You are lucky to get out uninjured.

Nothing like giving evidence to prolong an arson investigation. Be safe everyone. Buy real quality fire extinguishers before they are needed. Remember the lives of the public and first responder they will come in contact with. Racing to save a life when they do not know if people are in the rig that is on fire.
