I used to buy my wood at Walmart or the local state park. The price was similar so it depended on my schedule as to where I bought it. guess what, it burned the same and it cost the same. The other campground (a membership resort)I go to is local enough to carry wood. we used to carry in there but now we just buy it when we get there. it is cheap enough there too. we will keep any unburned wood and return with it on our next trip (tend to frequent the same place). if we go out of state then that wood is not brought with us and we purchase upon arrival. purchase a couple of bundles use that, buy more if needed. Any leftovers there are left for the next guest. I have never seen a ridiculous price, the price tends to be pretty standard anywhere we go. it is a small price to pay to preserve the beauty we all enjoy.
