Firestone Transforce GT tires

Boy, what pieces of **** these things are! Came new, stock, on my 2014 RAM. I've only got a little over 7K miles, and they are pretty much worn out. I suppose there is some kind of warranty, but I knew going in that stock tires are useless. I guess it's time for some Coopers or Hankooks...
  • 22K miles on my 15 and I've already replaced them. Went with the Toyo Open Country's and have been happy so far.

Do you mean HT? I went over 40K with HT's. Now have Michelin.

Lucky you my OEM Transforce HT's went 28K ,and were down to the wear bars. Now have the Toyo AT2's . No Michelins for me learned my lesson.

This truck came with the Transforce ATs. They’ve performed well, except that they’re wearing fast. At 17k, they look to be 2/3rds done. This will be the last full season on these tires.

Understandable. The HT is a highway all season tread, the AT an on/off road tread. The more aggressive tread will always wear faster which is why most on/off road tires do not have a treadwear warranty.
  • OEM Firestones are garbage. I milked mine up to 25k or so and they were cracked and bald. Bad traction doing anything but going down a warm dry highway.

  • I put Transforce on my truck as well, very happy with them so far.

The tires that come from OEM are a crapshoot even when compared to the same tire bought elsewhere.

I had a 2013 Chevy 2500HD that came with Transforce tires. I traded the truck with 18K and the tires were holding up well.

My 2015 GMC 2500HD came with Bridgestone Duravis M700's, at 20K two are worn to about 1/2 of tread but the other two are still above 3/4. No clue why, rotated them at least 3 times in that 20K.

Back in the 90's I bought quite a few new GM trucks. All came with Goodyear Wranglers. Those were absolute junk. They rode nice but would seem to wear out in about 15K miles.

Now, find a chalkboard and write this 500 times!
