Since you want a travel trailer for travel, I would want one that has complete access with the slide in. Those flip up steps is another thing I wouldn't want for stops along the way.
Both trailers apparently use the same axles and durability would go down as weight goes up. Almost all manufacturers use the same axles, so all you can do is compare the NCC to see if the ones they selected are marginal.
I would keep looking, those trailers leave many boxes unchecked for me. Yes, I have a KZ, worst purchase decision of my life.
