First weekend outing of the year- Woo-Hoo!

Last weekend we had temps in the mid 70s so we went out and washed our trailer. A few weeks back we made reservations for this coming weekend with plans to cancel if the weather didn't play nice with us. Well this week the daily temperatures are in the low 80s with nights at 60 degrees and a minimal chance of rain. So bright and early Friday morning we are pulling out for a 2 hour drive to a small COE camp ground we've never been to. We're so ready, our last outing was Thanksgiving.

This is going to be the last thing Montgomery sees of us...

  • enjoy! part of the fun of living south. my winterizing consisted of blowing out the water lines with air and draining hot water heater. back up to 80 degrees here in north cackalaky. even though this winter was coldest since early 1980's we were able to camp once in january, and once earlier this month. 2 trips planned for next month.
  • Have fun. We also like COE campgrounds. Haven’t been to Millers Ferry. Post a review, please.
We are also on our first trip of the year.
We’re presently in the tremendously overcrowded Clearwater Fla. area, going to Collier-Seminole State Park tomorrow.
    Enjoy the weather.

We've been to Nocalula Falls in Gadsden last month. The joy of living in Alabama. What COE are you going to? Check out Coleman Lake in the TNF, opens on March 15, great campground in the middle of nowhere. Have fun this weekend.

We will be at Millers Ferry COE camp ground. it's between Camden and Pinehill, Alabama.
A couple of other friends will be joining us with their campers, one of them will be doing his maiden voyage in his
new to him trailer. He is moving up from an eighteen footer to a 24.
  • Lucky! Have a great time and safe travels to you, we will be passing by this weekend on our way from Chicago to panama city for a wedding, wish we were in the rv this trip, but great news about the weather, Nice Avenger!

  • Glad you enjoyed you week end.

We are still waiting for the weather to break. The 50 degree days an melting snow really brings on cabin fever.

I won't dwell on the trip we took a while back, to the state park to dry camp and snowshoe.

    Have fun.
