Flat bed owners

I currently have an 05 2500 Silverado. I am looking at a 19 gmc 3500 dually. This truck sits about 5” higher than my current truck. I have thought about getting a cm Er style bed with the turnover ball. I’m not sure if the 4” trough would make a difference in pin height but a b&w flat bed hitch is about 6” shorter.
My current camper is an 05 outback. I was wondering if I did decide to get a flat bed would this even out for the ride height of the newer style trucks? Another advantage is the base is only 50 lbs.
