- SidecarFlipExplorer IIIHad flats front and rear. No big issue other than dealing with inconsiderate drivers whizzing by at 70 per and not giving me much room to work. People are rude, inconsiderate and generally a'holes on the road today. All in a big hurry to get nowhere. Seems as though my flats are always on the drivers side...lol
- Buzzcut1Nomad IIhad a rear tire blow out on my SRW with a 4600 pound lance 1055. The blow out and getting the rig safely stopped is the issue. Changing the tire isn't. As long as you have a good bottle jack ( not the OEM Jack) changing the tire with the camper on or off is the same thing. loosen the lug nuts, drop the spare and pull it out. jack the truck up remove the lug nuts and flat. put on the spare tighten the nuts lower the jack, torque the lug nuts stow the flat and off you go.
- 12 ton bottle jack with a jack stand for safety support. Had no problem changing out the one flat I had with the camper on..2007 F250...

- ykphilExplorer III had a flat on my F350 front tire a few weeks ago just outside Potrero Chico, a world-famous rock climbing national park in Mexico. By the time I had emptied half the truck out to search for my jack and tire cross, a truck that had written on its side "Vulka Mobile" drove past me. As soon as I realized what it meant, I waved but the truck was already 100 yards away, so I ran after the truck and found the guy at his little house. He came back to fix my truck on site for 100 pesos, about US$6. Drove back all the way to Yellowknife, 5500 km north, no issue with the tire. Money well spent.
- Homeless_by_ChoExplorerI had one on my 2005 Chevy 2500. I just used my 6 ton bottle jack and changed it out. I also carry a pair of double width 2X6's placed cross ways to each other and bolted together for the jack base. They raise the jack by 3".
LeRoy - K_CharlesExplorerI never had a flat while we carried a pickup camper but wouldn't you just use a Jack and a lug wrench the same as with everything else?
- jimh406Explorer IIII've never had a flat.
