Floor covering for wet baths

Looking for something new to protect the floor of the wet bath in my TC. Currently using some interlocking square open tiles but it's not very comfortable on bare feet. What have other TCs found that works well?

  • I don't have anything on the floor in my AF1150, while showering.
I do keep a small foot rug, like you'd have in your bathroom at home in it at all other times. When I shower, I just take the small mat out and use it to step onto to towel off. Then I dry the shower, and place the mat back in. It does have a rubber backing so it doesn't slide around. My shower looks like it's never been used. No scratches at all that way.
  • Mike, What you are using is all around the best. For water drainage, no upkeep, custom fit and space savings. Would you consider soft bath shoes. I wear crocs in the bath houses. Try flip flops.:) Bill

We do the opposite; when bare foot (bathing) we do not use a mat. When we are done showering we wipe down the walls and then place wooden rack on the wet bath floor. This keeps your feet dry (if you have socks on) and prevents scratches (if you have shoes on).
This is what we use clicky
  • Dri-dek works great for us. Easily cut to fit. Never have to dry the floor. We just lift it out and wipe underneath when we are done camping. We got ours at a local marine supply house:

  • Cedar Lumber 1" x 2" make a little lattice square. Water resistant, smells great, protects the floor, does not trap water.

It worked really well all winter.
  • How about a low pile carpet sample?
Are you looking to remove it while showering?
We do not use our shower in our wet bath so I was thinking of putting down either the thin packing styrofoam or cardboard to protect the floor and then a small carpet cutout that is easy on the feet and easy to shake out when needed. Free carpet chunks at the dumpster of your local carpet installer.

  • I saw this in some other threads, but would love to find something local.
