For those that are talking about exchange/trade at the local propane exchange place this is good if one has just the 20 lb. BBQ type and just want 3&1/2 gals. and not the 5 gals. that a 20 lb. will hold.
Most TT and 5th wheels come with 30 lb. 7gals. cylinders (yes I know that some smaller TT and 5ers now come with the 20 lb. BBQ type), point is I have never seen a propane exchange that carries 30 lb. cylinders.
For the ones that are just exchanging their cylinders have you done away with your 30lb. cylinders or did your trailer come with 20's?
They took my out-of-date empty cylinder with the old style valve for an additional $10. I like the convenience of this service, since I don't have to load 30 lb. cylinders up in my Suburban and drive them somewhere to be filled.
This service is accessed online. You just go to their site and place your order. It is VERY convenient. I have purchased one cylinder so far, and based on the tare weight stamped on the tank, I got a full 30 lbs. of propane in my tank.
Other cities/towns may have a similar service.
