Propane Tanks as used in MHs have an actual gauge that measures liquid level
Propane cylinders as used on trailers.......lots of aftermarket devices available but are lacking in accuracy.
Gauges although that have graduated areas really just measure vapor pressure which is good until propane level is very low
Stick on 'gauges' are a bit better as the show level based on temp
Aftermarket stuffPouring warm water down side of cylinder accomplishes the same thing
IF you have 2 cylinders with an auto swap regulator just leave one cylinder valved out..when in service tank goes empty the indicator will turn RED. Valve out empty tank, valve in the other tank, swap lever, Indicator turns GREEN
Then remove empty cylinder and go get it filled
