Strange how many threads are started by folks with a lack of understanding what torque and horsepower are. Also strange that these threads seem to exist to reinforce bias and misunderstanding.
The worst part is, once it is explained, the knuckle draggers come out with smart a55 quips that belittle those who are sharing the knowledge.
Horsepower is the number that determines what an engine or truck can do, and typically the torque number will indicate how effortless it can do it. Keep it simple, because it really is.
This is THE reason horsepower is the standard rating for industrial engines, the torque number gives no indication what work an engine can do.
While there are many of us that don't readily accept your evaluations, opinions & theses on tow vehicle capabilities & irrelevance of torque, it's not your message that envokes criticism but your pious attitude with which you deliver that message. You make your emphatic statements, many unfounded by experience & many simply erroneous, & if your views aren't blindly embraced, we become your "knuckle dragging smart a$$ed quip quoting biased fanboys"!! Did I miss any of your other crude descriptions?
