Does anyone know if replacing your fuel tank voids your warranty ? I have a new 2016 F-350 crew cab short bed with the 26 gal tank and would install a Titan tank if it didn't void my warranty.
Not exactly an a direct answer, but when i purchased my "15" when it came in I had them take it to the shop around the corner to have them add some stuff.... 1 of those items was a Titan 51 gallon diesel tank. They paid for everything to be done, cant imagine that they would have done that if it would have voided the warranty.. I have know the guys at both the shop and the dealership for many-many years....
That is the exception to the rule of don't modify : if the dealer does it, they accept the warranty. Lifts, etc.
There is no such rule as "Don't Modify". You can put a 50 gal replacement tank on and the warranty still applies for everything except the new tank (which now isn't their tank) and possibly the in tank fuel pump (if they can prove your replacement tank impacted their pump). Everything else is still 100 percent warranted.
Look up Magnuson–Moss act.
