My V10 was a monster while towing...However, my mileage per year is about 30,000.00 with my commute. Thats about $11,000.00 of regular in a year @ 9 mpg. I had to have a commuter car at that MPG.
The 5.4 at 13 mpg would be about 7500 per year. A significant savings.
If I could have owned an ecoboost It would have been much better at 17 mpg... but thats a topic for a different thread.
