Ford 6.2 Mileage while towing
Can anyone give me a good estimate on the mileage Ford's 6.2 V8 with 3.73 rear end gets when towing a 10k fifth wheel? My father's looking to upgrade his TV so he can get a fifth wheel but he doesn't...

with my signature rig Ford 6.2, 3.73 gears and 12,000 lbs FW...I'll get 8 mpg at 65 mph....7 mpg with a good head wind.
I can get 9+ mpg if I go 60 mph or less. Kind of hard to do on the interstate and not get run over in 75 mph area.
The key with 3.73 gears is using manual on the interstate and in rolling terrain.
FYI...just got back from a 900 mile round trip and I have almost 10,000 miles pulling this FW.
The next one I will order the 4.30 gear :)
