Here's the breakdown I sent to Ford and the delaership...
Good morning to all,
I have been researching the parts and labor for the vehicle and came up with the following, based on the average hourly Ford dealer shop rate of 185.00 per hour (seems to be the going rate in Dover). AllData shows 26hours for a long block with parts transfer. With that in mind here are the parts I found from Ford parts.com with Winner as my dealer...(couldn't find Hertrichs in the system).
Longblock $7566
Turbo $1940.83
Labor at 26 hours: $4810
Total $14,316.83
With all that said, let's add another 3000.00 for shipping, gaskets, fluids, filters etc. Total is $17,316.83 and that's being generous.
I'm confused on the extra $7000.00 to $9000 above this number. Will some please explain the monetary difference as well as send me the estimated repair sheet? Thank you.
(It's been 7 days and no response from Ford or the dealership)
