It clearly bothers you for some reason. You have brought it up several times.

The new crop of trucks have adequate power to maintain the speed limit. Now they will add ways to differentiate themselves. Things like comfort either real or perceived by having the different gear selections, noise, smoothness and other tangible and intangible traits. You are getting too wrapped up in a test that will add less and less meaningfulness as more and more vehicles achieve perfect scores.
