Ford 6.7L Powerstroke V8 Diesel
Wanted to get some feedback from 6.7L owners. Took a look at a DRW 8 foot bed Extended cab. Looked and sounded good. Replacing 2006 Silverado 8.1L Allison Crew Cab

I would suggest you do some reading on the Powerstroke diesel forums. Yesterday I pulled up next to a F-550 garbage roll off container truck at a traffic light. I didn't pay much attention to the truck at first and judging by the noise it was making I assumed it was a 6.0L diesel. The light turned out to be especially long so I glanced over and was shocked to see it was a newer F-550 with a 6.7L diesel. When he took off the noise decreased but was definitely still there. It sounded like severe top end noise like lifters, etc.
I Googled the issue later and found out it is a very common issue that Ford considers normal. Buyer beware and this is coming from one that owned 3 Fords over the last 20 years including a 7.3L and 6.0L diesel.
iMO there are much better diesel options out there.
