Ford 6.7L Powerstroke V8 Diesel
Wanted to get some feedback from 6.7L owners. Took a look at a DRW 8 foot bed Extended cab. Looked and sounded good. Replacing 2006 Silverado 8.1L Allison Crew Cab

I don't think these diesels are the kind of motor you want for the long haul, like your 8.1. As long as they are under warranty, great. There may be a few who can afford to fix these things outside of warranty, but I'm not one of those people.
If you plan to keep your truck for 10 years like your last one, reconsider gas. Unfortunately I don't see the gas equivalent to your 8.1/Allison combo. Maybe the Ford 6.2/4.30, but considering my 6.2 with 3.73's I doubt it. Oh and the price.....Good luck.
